No Sprint Function Makes Gameplay Frustratingly Slow
Virtua Striker 3 Ver. 2002, where should I start? First of all, I have to say that I am not very familiar with the Virtua Striker game series. I can still vividly remember that the cabinets were hidden away in a dark corner of the arcades. I barely touched the game 2 to 3 times. Understandably, it was so frustratingly difficult. Furthermore, I was completely fooled by that game. Do you know why??? RUNNING DOESN'T EXIST IN THIS GAME!!! TABOO!!! The game just says to YOU `HUH SPRINTING..... WHAT IS THAT??` WTF it's like the game makers are dissing us. I can already picture them.` Ok people, Virtua Striker demands too much, something has to go, any suggestions?? DUHH we'll take out the sprint function. That way the game is harder and it saves us memory. KILL TWO BIRDS WITH ONE STONE` OMG what wankers!!!! I initially thought the sprint button wasn't working because of the cabinet (crappy thing). No, the GameCube version also doesn't have a sprint button. WTF.... is that too much to ask for?!!! This is indeed the biggest downside of this game. In my opinion.
On to the next topic. Game modes. Compared to the arcade version, the GameCube version has a lot more modes. Thankfully, otherwise it would have flown out of my window. In International Road, you have to take a selected team (country) to the top. Through training sessions and practice matches, your players improve. Very nice and all.....
Then there's the Variation Mode. Here you can choose from; Tournament, League, and International Mode......2x International Mode...fun XD.

Furthermore, there's a Replay Mode where you can review your OH SO BEAUTIFUL GOALS. Nice.... Lots of choices all nice nice.... but now the gameplay. OH DEAR... hahahah seriously... were the creators on some kind of medication by any chance? Firstly: GAMEPLAY IS SUPER SLOW due to the lack of sprinting. They're basically jogging XD. Secondly; Scoring becomes 10 times harder because of this. And thirdly: What IS up with that commentator? No seriously, every shot on goal, no matter how far off target it is...you keep hearing that guy..........ALMOST !!!!!!ALMOST !!!!!! ALMOST ...ALL THE TIME!!!! It just doesn't stop..... But well, enough laughing. Oh and not to forget... the music is a pro. The only positive aspect of the game. Arcade music....DELIGHTFUL, it brings nostalgic feelings up for me.
SO!!! CONCLUSION: Gameplay: slow, difficult, funny. Controls: Let's not even go there. Graphics: Animation is a tearjerker...but the use of lots of color makes it look pleasant. Sound: aside from that ANNOYING commentator, chill. I am very negative about this game. But rightfully so. Yet I keep playing this game because it does provide entertainment. But hey, that's just me......! They call it addiction..... Will the addiction be passed on to you as well? Or will you throw the game off a skyscraper? Then wrap it in a wet newspaper and send it back to the creators by post? The choice is yours!!

Definitely NOT recommended, got rid of it right away
This game is very disappointing, didn't have high expectations for such an old game, but still, definitely NOT recommended. Virtua Striker 3 Ver. 2002 is and remains much more fun, played it once, then got rid of it immediately. Overall rating: 1

Fun multiplayer, but poor gameplay
Not a great game; the graphics look good, you can choose from many countries; the atmosphere is nice;
but the gameplay is so bad that you quickly stop playing this game.
Despite the poor gameplay, I did have a lot of fun with the multiplayer; laughing a lot with my friends at the players' bungling, the passes that never reached a teammate, and the shots that hit the corner flag more often than the goal!

Choose Fifa over Virtua Striker 3 for better gameplay and team options
I once played Virtua Striker 3 Ver. 2002 at a friend's place and I actually quite enjoyed it. That is until I bought Fifa Football 2004 and could compare the games. It turned out that Virtua Striker 3 Ver. 2002 is a lousy game. If you're looking to buy a football game, go for Fifa; firstly, you can clearly see all your players and the controls are poorly arranged in Virtua Striker 3 Ver. 2002. With Fifa 2004, you can choose teams from all over the world, whereas in Virtua Striker 3 Ver. 2002, you only have countries to choose from and you can't even see how good the teams of those countries are.

In short: go for a Fifa game! Instead of Virtua Striker 3 Ver. 2002.
