In Delfino Plaza, behind the Shine Gate in Super Mario Sunshine, there is a small pond (not at the entrance of Corona Mountain).
Use Fludd to dive (rocket (recommended) / turbo / hover nozzle) into that pond and dive against the wooden fence that lets the water flow out. At first, Mario will fall underwater a few times in the pond.
After trying a few times, Mario can fall through the fence and get hurt underwater. You can then calmly walk underwater. (Please note: Once Mario jumps out of the water or onto the beach from the water, the glitch will no longer work!)
This trick also works when Delfino Plaza is completely flooded with water. Dive against a tree trunk. Mario will then fall through it and you can also walk underwater.

Hey, you want to get to the island all the way back in Super Mario Sunshine. You can't swim because the pipe there is protected by lava. Who can help with that? Yoshi! But he can't swim either, so you'll have to jump on and off all the boats. It's easy!
What you need:
- Yoshi (Color doesn't matter)
- Turbo Nozzle
- First, grab Yoshi and head to the Shine Gate (The big gate with a Shine Sprite on top) on the right side (By the woman with the tall basket on the pole).
- Stand on that basket with Yoshi, and do a spin jump (Rotate the control stick in circles and then press A).
- In mid-air (Make sure to stay against the orange/yellow wall!), press X and jump off Yoshi. If you did it right, Yoshi will no longer be visible.
- Now go back to the starting point and grab the Turbo Nozzle.
- Head back, but this time into the water in front of the Shine Gate.
- There are wooden planks here, and somewhere in the corner, there's a box. (Do NOT break this box!) Activate the turbo and make sure you are under the wooden planks and under the box, then press A. If you did it right, you are now inside the box. (Tip: Press Y to check if you are inside the box.)
- Now walk towards the corner where there are 2 walls (Facing the Shine Gate, it's on the right) and then... you fall!
- You are now under the city! (Important: keep jumping or you will die!) Look for Yoshi. Jump on him and keep jumping again. (Make sure not to do the 3-jump combo, usually you'll appear too early)
- Walk towards the island or towards the water. NOW do the 3-jump combo! If done correctly, you'll end up at the bottom and you can walk underwater with Yoshi! (Once you're out, the glitch effect is gone, so be careful!)
- Walk towards the island (No need to jump anymore) and spray the pipe.
- Good luck with the glitch and the Red Coin Challenge (Which is quite challenging)
PS: In the Red Coin Challenge, you can backtrack by walking over the orange ledge. That way, you get another chance!

Always use green Blooper from Super Mario Sunshine. Even though all Bloopers have the same top speed, green Bloopers have the best speed when they land on a surface out of the water. This is useful if you want to cut a corner or if you missed. Additionally, the green Bloopers have the best maneuverability and can make the sharpest turns.

Have Yoshi eat a piece of fruit, but quickly jump off his back just before he eats it. If done correctly, Yoshi will now stand still with the piece of fruit floating in front of his head. Jump back on Yoshi's back and continue with your adventure.
When Yoshi is running low on juice, you can press B and Yoshi will still eat the piece of fruit that was floating in front of him earlier. The piece of fruit will suddenly reappear in front of you. This way, you can guide Yoshi further into a level and reach difficult spots more easily, without needing a piece of fruit nearby. This way, you can survive in an environment without fruit for twice as long.
