Head to the Dragon Realm in Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly. Here, on the grass field where you first land in the game, you'll find 3 sheep. Take out the sheep (sorry!). Sparx will eat 3 butterflies. Then, cross over to the other side of the river (the grass field where another 3 sheep roam). Take out those sheep too (sorry!!). Sparx will munch on 3 more butterflies. Now, return to where you started, eliminate 2 more sheep (sorry!!!). You'll gain an extra life!
Want more lives? Just repeat the process. (Tip: in other parts of the game, you'll come across chickens and fireflies, this hint works there too.) Good luck!

If you're about to bite the dust (like landing in lava), press start (or Z) and move to another level in Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly. You won't regain full health, but you WON'T lose a life. The downside is that you'll have to redo the whole section you had just walked in the level.

If you don't have enough dragonflies to pass through the 2 white fences, here's a glitch: stand by the hinge and run into it. You'll notice that you won't collide with it! Now slowly move to the left or right while you're running, and you'll pass right through Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly.

In the level with the alien cows in Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, you can access the mini-level behind the gate at the top of the farm. Be careful not to stand too close to the center of the poles supporting the gate, or you'll end up in the mini-level.
