Outstanding speed and tuning
Need for Speed: Underground 2 may be less deep and detailed compared to its competition, but most gamers are probably only interested in tuning and speed. And it's the speed that really stands out in the game. (Score 84)

Extensive Free-Roam and Best Tuning Options
Part II!!! Okay, an improved Need for Speed: Underground 2. A fun Free-Roam mode so you can tear around freely. And I think this is where you can tune your cars the best, except that you can't move your decals around like in Carbon (duh!). Also cool is that tough Hummer H2 you can unlock. Shame those things pollute the environment :(.

Excellent Street Racing Experience with Need for Speed: Underground 2
Need for Speed has always been a fun series, except for the last 3 titles (need for speed pro street, undercover, and shift). Luckily, Underground 2 is much better than its successors, tearing through the streets in pimped out rides, discovering new shops. Unfortunately, this game lacks police chases like in hot pursuit 2 and carbon. The graphics here are not top-notch either, but as I've read in other reviews: "it's like with a woman, true beauty lies within." This game features a good tracklist and split-screen works fine.

Improved Free Ride Mode and Expanded Options Menu
The second underground is a lot better than its predecessor. Especially thanks to its free ride mode. You can discover secret shops and things like that. Really cool. And the options menu is very extensive. You can adjust everything to your liking. It's also a nice touch that you have your own SMS inbox there. You receive information, unlocks, and locations via SMS. And the race details are also very nice.

Extensive tuning and complete freedom in the city
Need for Speed: Underground 2 is a very enjoyable racing game, the tuning is cool and there are some nice innovations compared to part one. You also have complete freedom in the city, where you can do as you please. The graphics are also amazing. However, the game is very unrealistic and there is no mention of a damage model. If you're looking for realistic racing, this is not the place to be, but if you're into fun arcade racing and happen to be a true tuning enthusiast, then this is a must-have for you!

Top game!
Need for Speed: Underground 2 is still one of the best in the NFS series to this day. The Underground games became very popular around the same time as the fast & furious movies. The possibilities to tune your car in this game are very extensive. By using different bumpers, neon lights, spoilers, paints, etc., your car earns points for style. Besides customizing the appearance of your car, this is the only game in the entire series where you can also install a complete music system in your car. Apart from the tuning aspect, there are also various types of races such as circuit races, drag races, drift races, etc. This game provides hours of fun for anyone who loves cars.

Realistic graphics and authentic band music make the game great
This game is fun because it's realistic, has beautiful graphics, and features cool music – actual songs from bands, not just game soundtracks. It offers a good variety of cars and nice tracks, some on the highway and others through backroads.
You can also participate in street X and URL races, which are awesome!
I enjoy drifting as well, and it's fantastic that you can freely roam around the city to discover shops, races, and money icons. It's not something you finish in a day; it will definitely take you a few weeks. Oh, and you can even visit the test bench to get technical data about your car.
Definitely worth buying, highly recommended!

Fun racing, but mediocre graphics
Need for Speed: Underground 2 isn't exactly a top-notch game. The graphics aren't anything to write home about. It's clear that this isn't a game designed for the Gamecube. Fortunately, the racing itself is enjoyable, and the tracks are good too. So, it's a fun game to entertain yourself with for a while, but you'll soon want to switch to a real racing game.

Perfect for car enthusiasts who love tuning
Need for Speed: Underground 2 is truly a game for people who love tuning cars and enjoy pimping out their car down to the last detail. Additionally, you can race in all kinds of races such as a circuit where you can drive three laps against three others and street x races that I really love, because you have to constantly try to stay ahead on a small track.

Many customization options are missing
This is indeed a super cool game, but yeah, the graphics are a bit lacking. If I had made Need for Speed: Underground 2, I would have changed a few things. More technical aspects like nitrous oxide? What's the point of that?
That's something people can only dream of. It would be better to have open air filters, etc. The engine hood should be able to open, balancing supports, different suspension like plates so when the wheel comes off, you see the other suspension, and more customization options, maybe tinkering around? An extra CD would also be great for more cars and some more classic cars like the Ford Mustang and Cadillacs, etc.
The games don't need to be 100% beautiful, but the content is more important, just like with women, beauty comes from within, and the outside is only a secondary option!
