The Need for Speed series is increasingly about effects and less about pure racing, and that's something you have to appreciate. Nevertheless, it cannot be denied that Need for Speed: Carbon is spot on from A to Z. (Score 87)

Adrenaline-Pumping Canyon Duels and Extensive Tuning Options
Need for Speed: Carbon is a really good game. The graphics are great, you have good control over your car, and especially the revamped way of tuning is very enjoyable. You can determine the shape of your bumpers, spoilers, etc. yourself.
The races are challenging and there are (more than) enough game elements, including the new Canyon Duel. Racing at top speed down a mountain path, knowing that at any moment you could fall off the cliff due to crumbling guardrails, sends adrenaline rushing through your body, and those are the highlights of this game. This game gets a 9/10 from me.

Versatile racing experience with realistic tuning and your own crew
Need for Speed: Carbon is a super cool racing game.
Drifting, Circuits, Sprints, Drag races, you can do many different types of races, the game has beautiful graphics and is very realistic with, for example, tuning cars and setting up your own crew. And if you have nothing to do, just cruise through the city and if necessary, escape from the police and take them down.
A very extensive and fun game!!

Carbon is the best Need for Speed game to date
The game is exceptionally beautiful. All the details and tuning options. It has everything from the previous Need for Speed games and much more. The police are back to cracking down hard. But will they succeed this time? You can drop all sorts of things on the police, from electricity towers to mega donuts. Carbon is the best Need for Speed game so far.

Nice customization, but storyline disappoints
Need for Speed: Carbon is alright, not great but alright. Once again, there is a storyline, but it's not very interesting. The goal is to take over the whole city by beating everyone in a race. These races can vary from regular races to downhill races, there are a few different types. Again, there's the familiar customization with various cool cars, but other than that, it's just the same old story. And for some reason, it just doesn't feel right, more could have been done looking at its predecessor.

Best NFS for the GameCube with great graphics and fun cars
Very fun game, the best Need for Speed: Carbon for the GameCube, good graphics that almost match PS2 graphics, fun cars, enjoyable canyon game mode. Definitely worth it!

The latest Need for Speed game and the most beautiful. You can race with an Audi R8 or a Lamborghini, really cool! It's a bit of a challenging game but you just need to practice. It's a fantastic game!!

Realistic racing experience with insane graphics
Need for Speed: Carbon is an incredibly realistic racing game! This game is meticulously detailed, from the racing to tuning your car. There is also a lot of diversity in racing, you can for example drift or drag race.
The graphics are insanely good and the gameplay is well thought out.
This racing game brings you closest to reality!

Last Need for Speed for GameCube - Amazing Tuning!
For those who didn't know yet: This is the last GameCube Need for Speed: Carbon!! The first game I got from MarioCube.nl. I was dancing to get it, get it, get it!!!!
But the game is fantastic! The best part is definitely the tuning!

How can I easily complete Need for Speed: Carbon with a muscle car?

Always start with a muscle car in Need for Speed: Carbon, tune it up as much as possible (very important: always set the turbo to high revs!). Challenge the final boss (Angie), if you win (which you usually do), you might get her car sometimes. That's a really good muscle car! Use it to easily beat the other 2 easy bosses. Next, buy a Renault Clio V6 (my favorite car, I always beat Lamborghinis with it so...) and fully upgrade that one too, and so on. You'll dominate the rest of the races until they're no longer a challenge. Then, get the Corvette Z06 or a better car (not worse, or you'll definitely lose against the last boss!) and fully upgrade that one as well, and so on. This way, you can easily win the game.
