Also new is playing with eight players. No, this doesn't mean you can connect 8 controllers, but rather that you share a controller together. This can provide a lot of fun if you don't take the games too seriously. It can also lead to some frustration among more experienced players playing with beginners.
The sound and visuals haven't changed much when compared to previous parts. Perhaps everything looks a bit nicer, but that doesn't add much to the value of the game.
All in all, I still think that Mario Party improves with each installment, so if you want to go for the most enjoyable part, I would choose this one.
