Televisions nowadays often still have an AV input. The AV Cable is actually a good cable for beginners because these cables are produced in large quantities and are easy to pick up. The cable also fits the Super Nintendo and the Nintendo 64. The video quality could be better, but the sound is great (no noise)! Nowadays, televisions still have an AV input, and if your TV doesn't have one, you can buy an AV to jack adapter. Highly recommended for gamers starting to collect or GameCube players who just want to game without any issues!

Composite or SCART? By default, you will receive the regular composite cable, which provides standard image quality. If you want to get the most out of your GameCube in terms of visuals, I would recommend using the SCART (RGB) cable. No more flickering, sharper image, beautiful colors, and even more frames per second in 60Hz mode. Highly recommended. GameCube AV cable.

Nice but there are better options The GameCube AV cable is the standard cable that comes with the GameCube. At the time the GameCube was released, it was fine, but now there are much better options in terms of image quality. Also, the connection for this cable is not commonly found on newer televisions anymore. There is a device called AV to HDMI Adapter available now. You can easily connect this to your GameCube and play using an HDMI cable.
If you use the GameCube normally and have an older TV, this cable will do just fine, but if you have a newer TV and pay attention to detail, I would recommend going for the HDMI option!
Not what I expected.
I bought two cables for AV to SCART. To create the RGB signal instead of fiddling with the three separate cables.
I compared the difference with the original composite cables for both N64 and GameCube, and my conclusion is that the original cables deliver better quality. At least for my television, an older HD-TV, it was way too bright! I could hardly read any icons or text on the screen even after adjusting it through the TV menu. So, it was not a good purchase for me.
I will keep the cables though, because who knows, the original cables might not work anymore in a few years.
