Your teammates are controlled by the computer if you don't have a GBA.

The races of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles from left to right: the Selkies (fast), the Lilties (strong attackers), the Clavats (strong defenders), and the Yukes (skilled in magic).

Working together with others works best, agreeing that one heals, one takes the hits, and one fires off magic attacks from afar, for example.

To create a character, you have the choice of four races, with four different types of characters for each gender. Once you've selected one of the 32 characters, you also need to choose what profession your parents have. Opt for a blacksmith, for instance, and you may receive weapons as gifts.

When playing with a GBA, pressing select allows you to view (on the GBA) which items you have, set your attacks, and check a radar. Another handy feature is that when you are looking at your GBA (and not playing on the Gamecube) and the rest moves on, you automatically follow along.

The valuable Mirula Droplets are collected every year by the Crystal Caravan. So, the fate of the villagers lies in their hands.

Multiplayer Fun and Graphical Masterpiece on the GameCube
One of the most graphic games on the GameCube! You can have a lot of fun playing it alone, but the real fun begins when you play with others! You can choose from different races, each with their own strengths and weaknesses, gender, profession, and even appearance, participate in fun events like a cow race! Customize your moogle however you like! All wrapped up in a beautiful story. In short, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is highly recommended!

Amazing Multiplayer Experience with Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is a superb RPG (Role Playing Game) adventure, especially if you can arrange 4 GBAs (and 4 friends).

In each level, you acquire new magic that you have to divide among yourselves. By combining this magic effectively, you can unleash super attacks ("All together, 3...2...1...Fire now!!") and also establish roles ("Cure, cure, no I'm in the top left!! HELP, hurry up for *@#% sake!").

Apart from the levels, you have your own secret mission that allows you to grow faster than your friends. The multiplayer RPG element here is very successful. You are all simultaneously working on shaping your character on your GBAs ("Damn, ...who has some metal to lend me?! So I can get a super cool armor.").

You need to collaborate to progress and survive, but at the same time, there's selfishness in wanting to give your own character more than your friends'. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles offers an amazing multiplayer experience!

Unique Game Boy Advance connectivity for multiplayer experience
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles... the name itself is already very famous and rightfully so, because the game series from Square-Enix is definitely not the least. The Final Fantasys have always been for Sony consoles. That's why it's even nicer that there's also an FF adventure for the GameCube. The game has something very special: connectivity with the GBA. This simply means that you can link with the Game Boy Advance, and then control your companions. So if you have a good number of link cables? Only then is this game worth it.

Unique GCN-GBA Integration in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles
FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES is a fun take on a Final Fantasy Hack & Slash game. It's a shame that the game lacks a bit more character customization, but oh well. It makes great use of the GCN-GBA Cable feature, and you can even use the GBA to get a map! Additionally, this is one of the few Gamecube games where you can use the GBA as a controller.

Multiplayer Masterpiece, but Pricey on Accessories
The single player mode is way too short, so don't buy the game for that, but the multiplayer is a masterpiece, a work of art in itself. Anyone who hasn't tried it is missing out on life.
Only downside: It will cost you a few pounds on Game Boys and link cables.

Less adventure and storyline, but stunning graphics and caravan customization are highlights
The Final Fantasy series is a top-notch one. Unfortunately, I find this game to be a disappointment, one of the least enjoyable games in the Final Fantasy series. In my opinion, there is less adventure in this game and too little storyline.
I have to say though, the game looks very beautiful, and what I like most about Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is that you can customize your own caravan. You can choose the gender, profession, race type, and appearance. Very enjoyable! (I've restarted a hundred times just so I could customize a new caravan, hehe!).
I also find the moogles (small cute, rodent-like creatures with pom-poms on their tails) in this game incredibly adorable once again!
Furthermore, the add-on of choosing the profession (and especially the benefits you can get from each profession) that your family practices is superb!
Because it's a Final Fantasy game, this game remains a top one, but I have seen better.

Fantasy RPG with lots of color and fun
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles on the Gamecube was a refreshing RPG with colorful characters and an interesting storyline. The graphic style and music were fantastic, allowing you to spend a lot of time exploring the world in the game. The combat system was also good, with a well-balanced variety of enemies. Additionally, there was the option to play together with other players, making the gameplay even more engaging. Despite a few minor shortcomings, it was a highly enjoyable adventure.

A fun fantasy game, beautifully crafted and really enjoyable, honestly!!
Travel everywhere and win battles against fantasy creatures. You can also train yourself, so you become much stronger and acquire your own special weapons.

Original Creatures and Brilliant Storyline
Amazing game, the creatures in it are incredibly original. The storyline is brilliant (almost on par with Tales of Symphonia), and the variety of equipment is enormous.
I particularly enjoyed the ending of the story. Very fitting for the adventure, but I won't give away too much. It's extremely original!!
Great game, and absolutely fantastic when you can play with others!

Mithril is usually expensive, but there are monsters out there who give it away for free! Defeat the salamanders at Demon Court in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles and if you're lucky, you might just stumble upon some mithril!
