Great Off-The-Ball control, but no Euro or World Cup playable
Great game. Especially thanks to a well-developed Off-The-Ball control and Football Fusion, EA shows that they can still make good football games. Unfortunately, there are a few mistakes, and you can't play the Euro or World Cup. But if you just want to play a match of football with a few friends or alone, and you don't have much money to spare, FIFA Football 2004 is definitely recommended!

If you want to easily beat the computer in FIFA Football 2004, all you have to do during the match is switch teams for a moment (pause the game, there you will find the option to switch teams). Now, score a few own goals, but don't forget to switch back before the end of the match!

This is how you can access Cheat mode in the Options menu of FIFA Football 2004.
Use a link cable to connect your GBA to Gamecube port 2, but make sure there is no cartridge in your GBA. You do not need the GBA version of FIFA Football 2004. Now go to the options menu and then to the 'Game Settings' menu. Press X and a message will indicate that the Cheats option is accessible. These cheats include: 'Big Ball', 'Walls', and 'Flying'.
The Big Ball makes you play with a gigantic ball, the Walls cheat prevents the ball from going off the field, and the Flying option allows players to fly.

Go to the options menu of FIFA Football 2004, then to `Player Swaps`.
Swap all the good players of your choice to the team you want to play with, then save this as a selection (squad).
Name it as you like.
Then go to `New Season` and select `Current Squads` to play with your team. This is useful for a third division team, as this team now has all the good players.

When the opponent gets a free kick that can't be shot directly at the goal, pull the control stick towards you and keep pressing ''A'', causing all your team's players to run towards the opponent's half. When the opponent takes the free kick, all their players will be offside; this way you'll get a free kick and regain possession in FIFA Football 2004!
