Versatile Competitions and Excellent Multiplayer Function
My opinion is: FIFA Football 2003 is indeed a bit of an outdated game, but that doesn't mean it's not good. Of course, it's a shame for us that the Dutch league is not included, but all other leagues are completely there. You can also play international team tournaments and just the cup tournament.
The graphics look fine for that time, and even now, they are still acceptable. The controls are easy to master, and you can train yourself well to rise to the highest level (world class).
Of course, football games are the most fun to play against your friends or with your friends, which is why I highly recommend this title!

Challenging gameplay makes the game frustrating
One of the lesser FIFA games, in my opinion, it even falls short compared to FIFA 2002, which I had a lot of fun with (on PC). This FIFA looks more detailed, the players seem more realistic, so do the supporters; but the gameplay leaves much to be desired. It's almost impossible to pass the ball accurately to a teammate, making this game very difficult and you quickly feel like giving up.
Although it was sometimes fun to play against friends; that's why I still give FIFA Football 2003 a narrow pass!

Since the game is quite old (End of 2002), the teams are obviously outdated as well. Van der Vaart has left Ajax, Ronaldinho and Henry are now playing for Barcelona, and so on. These transfers can be crucial in the game, go to the 'Club transfers' menu of FIFA Football 2003 and make the changes.

If you want to win in this game, you shouldn't play like me and my mates do, as we can hardly score at an amateur level. However, when we do score, it's often thanks to tricks we've come up with while playing the game. A throw-in might be more effective than a penalty in FIFA Football 2003, because if you can throw in from within the 16, your attacker will almost always receive the ball in a way that sets them up 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper. Goal kicks work well too, but they work best when controlling one team with two people. As the goalkeeper, you should kick the ball towards the corner by pressing the B button a few times, while the other player, playing as the attacker, runs towards the corner. This way, you create another 1 on 1 opportunity.
