As you know, you can never get a Game Over in this game The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning. You can definitely take extreme advantage of that. Just be aware, this tip might be a bit tricky to grasp. I discovered it myself and I'd like to share it with you.
When you're fighting a boss, there are spirit stones on the battlefield. These are white stones that you can smash to get gems. The blue gems are good for your breath power. You can enhance your breath power in the menu, making your breath stronger. Now, the thing is, if you're just playing the game and you die, you don't get the spirit stones back. B-u-u-t when you're fighting a boss, they do come back every time you die. And like I mentioned before, you can die endlessly and try again.
Here's the genius part: you get to keep the gems you collected before you died. So, if you want to quickly upgrade your breath power, die multiple times and smash those spirit stones to get an extremely good breath power.
The advantage of this is that you can defeat your enemies much easier when you have better breath power, and you need to use less breath to achieve the same effect. Handy, right? Good luck with it.

When you're standing near a cliff, use your Electricity breath to throw an enemy into the abyss (or into the lava or something else deadly).
You can do the same with your Earth breath. However, the Electricity breath from The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning is easier and more effective. After the enemy falls into the abyss, you still get the gems, and it costs very little breath power.

Press X when near an enemy (hold it down for a moment), then jump and perform X X R. Try to aim towards the lava with your control stick while doing this. This way, Spyro will deliver a powerful forward strike with R, potentially knocking the enemy into the lava. I play The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning a lot!

When you have filled up all 3 squares of your regular breath power, and the 3 squares of the long-distance breath power, you will receive an extra strong breath power. This will make your regular breath power and your long-distance breath power extra powerful, causing your enemies to die even faster, including especially the final boss of The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning!
