Dancing with Mario and Friends on the GameCube
Dancing Stage Mario Mix is, in my opinion, a very rare game for the GameCube. Unlike usual, with this game you receive a mat with different arrows (up, down, left, and right) and a few buttons from the GameCube controller. In this game, you don't use your controller, but this mat. Dancing says it all, you have to dance by stepping on the mat! So, not a game for when you're feeling ill and want to play a game quietly from your bed.
You can just start playing and dance away, but there's also a Story Mode in the game. You need to complete it to unlock more songs and other things, so you can do more variety of things. Of course, Mario and his friends are part of this game, which makes the story mode fun, but somewhat standard. Especially if you just want to get started right away. On the other hand, the story mode helps you get to know the game well and you can quickly move on to a higher difficulty level. Speaking of difficulty levels, this game has them well balanced. Everyone can easily play the lowest level, but the highest level is quite challenging, a real test of skills.
It's just so much fun to play this game with your friends and groove to the cheerful Nintendo tunes. The story mode comes in handy if you just want to dance alone and not stand out too much, because it can look quite funny at times.
If you enjoy this type of games, then I would definitely recommend it, but if you're more of a gamer who prefers to stay in your chair, then it's understandable if you don't purchase this game.
