Impressive graphics and cool moves in BloodRayne
My opinion is: Initially, the title 'BloodRayne' didn't really grab my attention. However, once borrowed from a friend, I started the game with good spirits. The first thing that stands out are the graphics. They actually look pretty good! A big relief, as I didn't have high expectations.
You play as a chick who is half vampire/half human, fighting for the good side. Although, you're not exactly doing good things when you're slaughtering all these people and creatures. But the concept is interesting. You have two big knives attached to your arms which allow you to perform really cool moves and tear your enemies apart. You can execute awesome, cool moves by using the right button combinations on your controller when an enemy suddenly appears behind you. Once you've collected enough points, you can activate 'Blood-rage'. This puts the whole game in slow motion (think Max Payne or something similar), making you much stronger and able to perform even more awesome combos, making the game even more brutal. That's when you understand why the game is called 'BloodRayne'.
A fun game that will keep you occupied for a while. The game doesn't offer anything extremely special, but it will keep you entertained. It's quite spectacular in the beginning.
