Lead Orange to the World Cup with 2006 FIFA World Cup: Germany!
I'm afraid this FIFA might be the only chance to lead Orange to the World Cup. I can live with that given the quality of this game, as long as Germany or Italy don't win, right? (Score 85)

Challenging gameplay and lasting fun
I only bought the game after the 2006 World Cup had ended. However, that didn't spoil the fun. 2006 FIFA World Cup: Germany looks fantastic, the players, the stadiums, the atmosphere, everything is beautiful. I always play all football games on world class, including this one. But this is truly one of the most difficult ones I've played. At times, it was really tough to break through the defense and the opponents had some damn good combinations. It's really a top game that remains enjoyable even after the World Cup. Because I'm still playing it now, in 2008, and I'm still not bored. And when I manage to win the final tournament, I secretly dream of the European Championship victory for the Dutch team next summer. In this top game, at least that dream has come true!

Many different game modes make the game more enjoyable
Normally, I'm not a big fan of football games, but since I bought 2006 FIFA World Cup: Germany, that has completely changed. There are many different game modes which naturally make it even more fun. Especially the mode where you can play the actual World Cup is well developed. You start with the qualifiers and can then guide your team all the way to the World Cup final.
The graphics are also decent. The background music in the menu is good and creates a pleasant atmosphere while playing. If I have to give one point of criticism, it would be about the commentary provided during each match. The commentator always says the same things and can be a bit annoying during a game. Looking at 2006 FIFA World Cup: Germany overall, it's a pretty good game and definitely recommended for fans of the sports genre. I give the game a well-deserved 8/10.

Excellent graphics and realistic atmosphere
Initially, I didn't find the game very enjoyable because I always played against a friend who was much better; England was truly unbeatable.
However, when I borrowed 2006 FIFA World Cup: Germany from him and played the World Cup football myself, I discovered that it's actually quite a good game overall, with graphics and realism better than all the Fifa games released on the GameCube. The atmosphere in the stadiums is also better; you can feel that the supporters are more involved.

One of the better football games on the GameCube, and the fact that you can be the Netherlands makes the game even more complete!

Highlight: Beating Germany in a fun football game
2006 FIFA World Cup: Germany is a very enjoyable football game and beating Germany is definitely the highlight. The graphics are decent, but of course, it can't be compared to the latest games. I find the gameplay to be very good, and it's fun to play the tournament with different teams. A solid 8.

Improved graphics and less strict referee in FIFA World Cup 2006
This game is much more enjoyable than the previous FIFA World Cup (2002)! The graphics are a lot better and the referee is not as strict as before. You can do a lot more in 2006 FIFA World Cup: Germany. And playing it with two people makes this game a must-have for everyone. Highly recommended for football fans!

I give 2006 FIFA World Cup: Germany a rating of 9!

Why aren't there more FIFAs like this one?
2006 FIFA World Cup: Germany is the perfect example of how a FIFA game should be. With 2006 FIFA World Cup: Germany, you have access to every country participating in the World Cup, or that has attempted to qualify for it.

What makes this so incredibly fun is the fact that you can create any match you want. Luxembourg against Fiji? No problem! Nicaragua against Kazakhstan? Your imagination is the only limit. That's what makes the game so incredibly enjoyable.

You also have the option to completely replay the World Cup, from the qualification rounds to the final, everything is at your disposal. You can choose the original groupings or completely customize them, once again the only limit you have is your own imagination.

Do I recommend 2006 FIFA World Cup: Germany? This game is 100% recommended, it has something to offer for every FIFA fan. However, I do think that the game is most enjoyable for World Cup fans like myself.

Nice memory of the 2006 World Cup!
The game 2006 FIFA World Cup: Germany is an enjoyable soccer game. The graphics and gameplay are solid, featuring realistic team representations. However, it lacks in-depth modes and falls behind modern soccer games. Nonetheless, it provides a nice memory of the 2006 World Cup.
